Traffic alert: 1 injured in two vehicle-crash near Nedrow, one lane re-opens on I-81 South

Update at 8:58 a.m.: One person sustained minor injuries Monday morning after a truck and an SUV collided Interstate 81 in Nedrow, deputies said.
Around 5:20 a.m., on I-81 South, near Nedrow, an SUV and a truck were pulling a trailer when the two vehicles collided, according to a news release from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. Both trailers overturned, deputies said.
Deputies said one person was taken to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries. The highway was closed for a few hours, but one lane has since reopened, they said.

Nedrow, N.Y — All southbound lanes are closed on Interstate 81 near Nedrow Monday following a two-vehicle crash.
Around 5:43 a.m., all lanes were reported closed after Exit 16 (Nedrow; Onondaga Nation), according to 511NY reports.
Traffic was backed up about two miles at 6:45 a.m.
Around 5:23 a.m., a white GMC pickup pulling a trailer carrying a bobcat collided with another vehicle, according to Onondaga County 911 Center Dispatch reports.
Dispatchers told arriving units that the vehicles were on both sides of the southbound side of the highway, according to dispatch reports. One vehicle was near the median and the other was on the right hand side, and debris was scattered on all lanes of traffic, they said.
At 6:45 am., the highway was starting to reopen but traffic was moving slowing and backed up.
